Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable deposit will be required to reserve your space. Final payment is due approximately 90 days prior to the retreat start date.
Cancellations made more than 90 days before the retreat start date will receive a refund of all payments made, minus the deposit. Cancellations within 90 days of the start date are non-refundable.
We don’t say this lightly. Over the years we have navigated our own health emergencies, a global pandemic, geopolitical disruptions, and severe weather — sometimes all in the same season. We understand deeply that life can be quite unpredictable, and we wish we could absorb every unexpected circumstance our guests face. The reality is that retreat centers, hotels, guides, and activity providers are contracted and paid well in advance, and those commitments exist regardless of what arises.
For this reason, we strongly encourage and often require that all participants purchase travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, emergency medical, and evacuation coverage. Cancel-for-any-reason policies offer the greatest flexibility. For destinations in India, Africa, and other regions with limited medical infrastructure, emergency evacuation coverage is mandatory. Past participants have used IMG Global, World Nomads, GeoBlue, and Allianz — we encourage you to research what fits your situation best.
